Taken from discussion on FB....

4-up TTT event -

Well its all gone a touch quiet, i know Dave is away...i though i'd pick it back up again:

Warrington RC 4upTTT - 19th June (J2/9)
Distance: 25M
Course: J2/9
Event Type: Open
Fee: £32.00
Event Start: 18:45
G1:
Closing Date: 07/06/2014
G2:
Internet Entry: No

I'm going to find out how to enter but as there was a load of interest i thought we should get it sorted. At last discussion we were looking at 2 possible teams - A and B. We never really decided how to do it

I want to do it (only way i wouldnt is if my new baby comes early)...
I think it would be worth doing some technique training as Mark Titchener suggested and i was thinking of having TTT night on a thursday and heading out around one of the chainey routes in groups of 4.

I guess the best way to look at teams is:

a. gauged interest
b. look at peoples TT PB's or big route chainey times and match teams up
c. run a test/ practice 25 and see what happens

I think pacing strategies and technique are just as important as speed over the distance. As a rough guide at last years event times ranged from 52:48 to 1:16.....my guess is around the 1hr mark is a good time.

So........

practice 25 TTT between now and June 19th - maybe next Thursday (29th) as a who's interested ride from the shop with a follow up individual teams/ technique session before the event.

Maybe i'm over thinking this? I'd really like to have a do at this and fly the HMCC colours!!

Thoughts?

p.s. i've never done a TTT!!

Ongoing discussions on Facebook:

current trail of thought......

So as a early guess (dependant on riders, i dont want to speak for anyone) there are 2 possible teams:

A Team
1. David Jackson
2. Kev Evans
3. Richard 'idfa' Taylor
4. TBC

B Team
1. Marktitchener Titchener
2. Dan Monaghan
3. Rob Macleod
4. TBC

All subject to change and subject to everyone being happy....we cant forget there are people not on Bookface...
