Harry Middleton Cycling Club Go Ride Youth Section

From April to September

Harry Middleton Cycling Club will be holding their weekly Go Ride youth coaching sessions - Every Thursday, during term time at Ormskirk St Annes Primary Schooll, 6.30pm until 7.30pm

HSBC UK Go-Ride is British Cycling's development programme for young people. The programme provides a fun and safe way to introduce young riders to the world of cycle sport and provides a platform to improve bike handling skills

  • Go-Ride Clubs are for riders under 14, with fun at the heart of high quality coaching sessions and a clear pathway for progression.
  • All coaches hold a British Cycling qualification and are DBS-checked, plus Go-Ride sessions will always take place in traffic-free areas.
  • Just like any sports club, the emphasis is on regular, local and affordable activities to make it easy to keep coming back and create a sporting habit for life.
  • Most of the Great Britain Cycling Team’s biggest stars started out at a Go-Ride Club. Just like Laura and Jason Kenny!

We have a fabulous group of British Cycling qualified coaches and run a range of sessions for differing ages and abilities.

The sessions focus on core cycling and bike handling techniques, including: weight shift, balance, gear selection and cornering, as well as incorporating fun and games.

Our qualified coaches will help them to develop their cycling skills and confidence in a safe and fun environment.

Sessions will be £2 each, to help cover our costs and make the programme sustainable, hopefully continuing through the winter as well.
Harry Middleton Cycling Club now has Clubmark Status which gives the riders increased access to British Cycling resources including FREE British Cycling Membership.
All types of bicycles are welcome. All children must be able to ride their bike without stabilizers.
All children must wear a helmet.
Sessions run during term time.
Please contact Nick Lloyd or Matt Middleton for further information.
