Sorry about the short notice, but I will be unable to take the ride tonight. I've got too much work that has to be done for tomorrow. Hope Rob can take a group again tonight.

The hardcore 5 braved the elements. Just the 5 of us out in the false settled weather at the shop. As 'nice ' as the weather appeared, we decided to keep it local incase it happened to rain, lol!!! Lead by Rob,Ian G, John Doyle, Brian and myself headed off on the HMCC chainey. Rob promised to 'keep it steady' lol!!!!! Got to say come the third lap I was struggling after a hills session yesterday (lame excuse I know) . After dropping off the back as we headed in to Long Lane for the final time, I passed Ian G who had unfortunately punctured. Ready for a break, I was happy to stop and help. A quick change supported by myself and we plodded on before he hit one of the many deep gauges drilled out on the road 'pre filling'. With no more tubes (I leant Ian one initially as he'd forgotten his!!!) it was either a slow walk back to town, or a quick phone call and a lift home. Ian grabbed a lift and I manged to ride my bike and Ian's home! An eventful night , without even mentioning the wind and rain! Rule #5 people. ;)

I'm bad and that's good. I will never be good and that's not bad. There's no one I'd rather be, than me. (Wreck-It Ralph, 2012)

Big thanks to DNA and his support crew (his Dad!) it wasn't quite Team Sky support crew but it was effective and very much appreciated! School boy error forgot to swap my kit over and left tubes at home, lessons learnt and all that!

It was not only a timely break for DNA.... it was for me as well, Rob was just starting to get away (may be I shouldn't have said that!)
