For those of you who pay interest to such things, Long Lane in Aughton is getting patch resurfacing at the moment. It's started near Parrs lane and is working back towards Bickerstaffe. they have already resurface the REALLY bumpy area before Parrs Lane and are working on the sprint section of the Short Chainy, including the shitty pothole right on the corner.

There is a plan for them to extend down the road.

This is patch resurfacing only and bizarrely there appears to be no intention to repair the busier part of Long Lane from Scarth hill to Prescot road!

Anyway, it's all here and it includes lots of the other roads we currently ride except Dark Lane and Blythe Lane!!!

Lots of white markings painted on roads this week, Hall Lane marked out today.  At the rate the patching is going they'll be doing this section in November.  At least the white marks give you an idea of the sections to avoid!

It's been said before, but this is the perfect thread to say it again. Unless the council are told about potholes, they will do nothing about them. Every week we use the same crappy roads and have the same moans to one and other, "these roads are shit" etc, etc. So, if we want something done, we need to take action, otherwise it will be punctures, lost bottles, damaged wheels forever more or, god forbid, someone coming off due to a pothole. Here's the link to one of the easiest forms out there - if you know of any bad sections of road, fill it in. The more forms that are filled, the more likely the council are to repair the roads........simples! ;o)
