It's The Old Mans Birthday, he would of been 76!! 

Sunday 8th June

So I thought I would do what I do best......

We are going to head to Chipping first up the A6 the direct route. Then head over towards Ribchester, Mellor and back via Bindle. If all goes to plan, these are the details - 

  • Leave @ 9.15am
  • Arrive at Chipping Cafe for 11.30ish 
  • 45min break

 

 What you need - 

  1. Money £10 plus
  2. 2 x Bottles with fuel in, not just water! Extra hydro tablets or sachets as well.
  3. Energy Bars & Gels 
  4. 2 x Inner Tubes, tyre levers etc.
  5. Phone

The Race, A Group riders will do most on the work on rotation. Now I need communication on this ride for it to work!! Feel tried shout, getting dropped shout, puncture shout!!!! At the bottom of each climb I will ride up with the slowest rider. 90 mile is a long way, eat and drink correctly and you will make it!

Hopefully the weather Gods will be kind to us this weekend. If not I will still turn up, even if it is raining (slightly) and then we will decide on which route to take.

Also as the wife is away I will be going out for a few beers early doors on Saturday evening (Carbo Loading for Sunday, Cricketers from 6pm) with my good friend Georgie Tony, who has come down for the ride on Sunday. If anyone we like to join us they are more tham welcome.
