hi guys think we should enter this dave hitchen race
- 11:08amAndrew Disley
I’m in. We need a team of 5. The sooner we enter the more likely we are to get picked.
2 day event, 3 stages - 11th and 12th June https://www.britishcycling.org.uk/events/details/141215/
£40 each
- Richard James Taylor
i can sort payment on the 22nd andy
- David Gómez Cazorla
40£ per rider?
- Richard James Taylor
yes its an expensive race but i think they all are overpriced. the thing about this one is it is very local to us being based near ormskirk
- David Gómez Cazorla
Alright. Is it necessary to get in yet? I should organise myself since I don't know if I'll be here!
- 11:12amRichard James Taylor named the conversation: dave hitchen race team.
- David Gómez Cazorla
I'll let you know as soon as possible wink emoticon
- 11:12amLuke Jackson
I'm in but like Rich skint until the 25th...
- Richard James Taylor
erm i think knowing the guys who organise the race will be on our side if we have a late entry,
nice luke, can you think of any others who would be interested for a reserve list as anyting can happen in between now and june
- 11:13amRichard James Taylor added Peter Gaskell.
- 11:14amLuke Jackson
Tom White might be interested
is there a TTT?
- Richard James Taylor
hi pete just wondering if you would be interested in a stage race in june., thats if you are not mid Triathlon training
yeah luke, we would have plenty of time to practice smashing each others legs off on the chainy
- Peter Gaskell
would love to rick but ill be down in windsor doing a triathlon
- 11:16amLuke Jackson
Pimbo tonight - Pete G smashed everyone's legs off last week
- Richard James Taylor
ok no worries bud
haha im on lates!
- Tom Hanlon
I'm in. It looked a great race for last year
- 11:17amRichard James Taylor added Carl Hammal.
- Richard James Taylor
cool tom. we will just have to manage what happens in the mean time. as i said in the facebook page you would need 2 cat 3 riders possibly cat 4 riders
- 11:18amAndrew Disley added you and Kevan Evans.
- Richard James Taylor
ive had a word with brian rigby the guy who is organising it and waiting for a response
- Tom Hanlon
Ahh is it e,1,2,3? I'm looking to race quite a bit at the start of the season so I might have to see how that goes
- Richard James Taylor
yeah tom you will be cat 3 before you know it,
- 11:23amLuke Jackson
I think it's the week after the regional too. There are two pimbo RR in March and there'll be plenty of crits inbetween Tom, you'll piss cat 3
- Richard James Taylor
and the birkenhead race the week after which is a nice race too.
- David Gómez Cazorla
I'll try to speak with British Cycling Federation to be upgraded to cat 3.. They said that being a Spanish license holder you might can do it
- Richard James Taylor
good stuff david, you only need 12 points for a cat three license upgrade so if you come 4th twice in a criterium that will do it
- David Gómez Cazorla
And when does the crits starts more or less??
- Richard James Taylor
in february. some time. i will ask the guys that run the lancaster salt ayre ones what dates they will be running,.
im not sure about tameside or litherland but i could allways ask
- Andrew Disley
Crits in Lancster start Feb. Litherland is April.
- David Gómez Cazorla
Nice guys
Is anyone going to race it??
- 11:30amAndrew Disley
We should get the club *associated* with Litherland this time as it’ll save a few coins for us all if want to race.
- Richard James Taylor
also there is preston uni which will be starting up again and also colin has mentioned one opening in bolton w
- 11:31amAndrew Disley
I think club association is £40 which means joining fee is reduced to £5 rather than £10 so providing we get 8/10 of us wanting to race.
- Richard James Taylor
yeah i asked matt about it last year and i think if he stumps up about £40 we only have to pay £5 to register for the league then £10 a race
hahaha
- 11:32amLuke Jackson
yep - for crits we can work together for a few weeks to get everyone who needs the points up to cat 3 - I suggest we make a concerted effort and just pick whichever rider needs the points the most and protect them
- Richard James Taylor
also those going for cat one and elite licences tongue emoticon
- 11:33amLuke Jackson
of course, but the more cat 3s and cat 2s we have, the more support you guys can have in the bigger races
- Richard James Taylor
true luke!
wont take long for you guys to rack the points up with the riding you have been doing. i will be struggling to keep up with you lot
- 11:35amAndrew Disley
I should have saved the money from the club crit champs for Litherland leauge. I think we had £70 left over which I gave back to the club pot.
- 11:35amRichard James Taylor named the conversation: HMCC race team.
- Richard James Taylor
be reet andy kev murph has just bought that de rosa i'm sure he isn't shy of a few bob
- Dan Monaghan
we're registered with Merseyside Cycling Development according to Matt at the race meeting
- Dan Monaghan
make sure we out things up on the club site too - don't want anyone 'missing' anything or it becoming 'fight club' wink emoticon smile emoticon
- Richard James Taylor
im just getting ready for work but . if one of you guys could copy my post on the club forum that would be great. think rob shirly isnt on facebook so we need to know if he is up for it too.
