Race group discussion - From FB 6.1.15 - Dave Hitchen

hi guys think we should enter this dave hitchen race

I’m in. We need a team of 5. The sooner we enter the more likely we are to get picked.

yes its an expensive race but i think they all are overpriced. the thing about this one is it is very local to us being based near ormskirk

cool tom. we will just have to manage what happens in the mean time. as i said in the facebook page you would need 2 cat 3 riders possibly cat 4 riders

yeah tom you will be cat 3 before you know it,

I think it's the week after the regional too. There are two pimbo RR in March and there'll be plenty of crits inbetween Tom, you'll piss cat 3

and the birkenhead race the week after which is a nice race too.

I'll try to speak with British Cycling Federation to be upgraded to cat 3.. They said that being a Spanish license holder you might can do it

good stuff david, you only need 12 points for a cat three license upgrade so if you come 4th twice in a criterium that will do it

And when does the crits starts more or less??

in february. some time. i will ask the guys that run the lancaster salt ayre ones what dates they will be running,.

im not sure about tameside or litherland but i could allways ask

Crits in Lancster start Feb. Litherland is April.

We should get the club *associated* with Litherland this time as it’ll save a few coins for us all if want to race.

also there is preston uni which will be starting up again and also colin has mentioned one opening in bolton w

I think club association is £40 which means joining fee is reduced to £5 rather than £10 so providing we get 8/10 of us wanting to race.

yeah i asked matt about it last year and i think if he stumps up about £40 we only have to pay £5 to register for the league then £10 a race

yep - for crits we can work together for a few weeks to get everyone who needs the points up to cat 3 - I suggest we make a concerted effort and just pick whichever rider needs the points the most and protect them

also those going for cat one and elite licences tongue emoticon

of course, but the more cat 3s and cat 2s we have, the more support you guys can have in the bigger races

I should have saved the money from the club crit champs for Litherland leauge. I think we had £70 left over which I gave back to the club pot.

we're registered with Merseyside Cycling Development according to Matt at the race meeting

make sure we out things up on the club site too - don't want anyone 'missing' anything or it becoming 'fight club' wink emoticon smile emoticon

im just getting ready for work but . if one of you guys could copy my post on the club forum that would be great. think rob shirly isnt on facebook so we need to know if he is up for it too.
