HMCC Club Meeting - 20.04.2016

Group Riding discipline

• Group Riding discipline – This needs to be improved in every level from the C – Group to the A – Group
• Every 4 weeks on a Sunday, Myself and another experienced rider, will take a maximum of between 8 & 10 riders from the shop, all of the same ability for a 2.5hr group session. This will consist of a 30min talk to the rider’s regards road craft and group riding skills.
• Also from week to week, I drop into a different group to analyse each groups riding ability and discipline.
• On the B Group rides I will introduce chaingang riding style in the last 30mins of the Sunday ride to the café to try and ensure everyone is confident with this type of riding before they attempt a chainy.

Tuesday Night Chainys

• Tuesday night chainy has always been for the A group and I would like to keep it that way. If the B group riders want to improve they will have to learn like everyone else did in the past and go with the A group lads, hang on, get dropped and try again the following week.
• If a B Group chainy wants to run, that’s fine, but the A Group riders are there on a Tuesday for their ride.
• Tuesday night for the B group over the years has just been a ride and I think this is how is should continue with maybe a chainy in the last 5 miles or so.
• As in previous years Thursday evening rides are the rides that we will run both chainys with help from the A group lads.
• Any Questions??????
