Beginning as an informal meeting of riders outside the local bike shop in Ormskirk, HMCC was officially formed in 2008, named in honour of the late Harry Middleton – a well known local cyclist and owner of the bike shop.

Since 2008 the club has grown massively in popularity now having over 350 members of all ages. The club has managed to retain its casual, informal friendly attitude to cycling with the main priority being enjoyment and encouragement for riders of all abilities and experience, who just want to ride their bikes.

So, whether you'd just like to join other people on social rides, get fitter and improve your riding skills, or ride in sportives and races as a British Cycling affiliated club rider.

From April to September - Harry Middleton Cycling Club will be holding their weekly Go Ride youth coaching sessions from April, 6.30PM until 7.30 PM. Please email - info@thebicyclelounge.co.uk for further details....

Tuesday nights

on Tue, 11/10/2016 - 17:38

Just a reminder to everyone that the Tuesday chaineys have stopped and we now do a steady winter ride, usually around 30 miles shop to shop. The ride is suitable for anyone who is willing to join in, as we don't leave anyone behind and it's a nice, flat route.

Last week there were just 3 of us, so hopefully more will turn up if the word gets around that it is a winter ride and nothing crazy. (Lights are a must, even for the start now.)

I should be out most Tuesday's, weather & work permitting, so see you there! yes

Gareth Olley.
Ride Date:
Tuesday, 11 October, 2016
Estimated Distance:
30 miles
